HISTORIC EXPERIENCE
A new bathroom does not raise Title 5 septic flow. A new bedroom does. We check first.
TITLE 5 VERIFIED
Every job carries a written one year workmanship warranty. Coastal builds get stainless and galvanized fasteners.
1 YEAR WARRANTYOur Services
Licensed remodeling, masonry, deck, siding, and addition services built for Cape Cod homes, coastal exposure, and local construction requirements.
Kitchen
Full kitchen remodels covering layout, framing, plumbing, electrical, cabinets, counters and tile. Cape Cod kitchens are usually small and closed off, and the fix is layout, not finishes. One licensed crew from demo to final punch list.
Bathroom
Bathroom rebuilds that address rot, failing tile, soft subfloor and poor venting before anything cosmetic goes back in. Adding a bathroom does not increase septic design flow under Title 5, so most projects here do not trigger an upgrade.
Masonry
Retaining walls, paver patios, driveways, walkways and stone steps, built on a compacted base with drainage behind the wall. Sandy Cape soil moves. A settled patio settled because of the base, not because of the stone.
Decks
Decks built for coastal exposure, wind load and the freeze cycle. Standard hardware rusts out here within a few winters, so coastal decks get stainless and hot dip galvanized fasteners over properly flashed ledgers.
Siding
Cedar shingle, clapboard and fiber cement siding. Most Cape Cod siding failures start behind the siding, in a water barrier that was never installed correctly. We correct the barrier and the flashing first.
Additions
Room additions, second stories, finished basements and attic conversions. An addition that adds a bedroom increases Title 5 septic design flow, so the board of health comes before the framing.

“They did it all in one day and left the kitchen spotless; the butcher block counters look great.”
“He's great at communicating, which is key to great results. His subs all did a wonderful job. He's great to work with.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers about service areas, Massachusetts licensing, kitchen cabinets, historic district approval, and Title 5 septic requirements.
We serve homeowners across Cape Cod, including Barnstable, Hyannis, Yarmouth, Dennis, Brewster, Harwich, Chatham, Falmouth, Mashpee, Sandwich, Bourne, and Orleans. If your property sits within that area, we can schedule a visit. Get your scope in writing, line by line.
We hold MA CSL CS122588 · HIC 217100, both searchable on the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation public license lookup. Enter the license number or the business name to confirm active status, expiration date, and the name of the individual license holder before any work begins.
No. They are separate companies owned by the same family. If your cabinet boxes are solid and the layout already works, you need refinishing, not a remodel. That is Compass Painting, our family's other company. If the kitchen has to come out and get rebuilt, that is us.
We cover kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, deck building, and general contracting across Cape Cod. Each service has its own page with full scope detail. If you are unsure which category your project falls into, describing the work during a scope review will point it to the right service.
Cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and millwork are finished off site in a dust controlled room rather than sprayed inside your kitchen. Almost every general contractor on Cape Cod finishes cabinet work in the house because they have nowhere else to take it. Keeping finishing off site protects your home and produces a cleaner result.
Every project carries a 1 year written workmanship warranty on the labor we perform. Materials and appliances carry their own manufacturer warranties, which we register in your name and hand over at closeout. The warranty covers labor and installation performed by us and does not cover manufacturer defects, normal wear, or homeowner damage.
The license holder is on the job site, not a project manager standing in. Massachusetts CSL CS122588 is held personally by the owner, which means the person legally responsible for the build is present and accountable throughout, not only at the permit stage.
The condition of the cabinet boxes and whether the layout works for you are the two deciding factors. If the boxes are structurally sound and the footprint already functions, the scope is smaller. If the layout needs to change or the structure is failing, that is a remodel. We give you the honest answer after seeing the space, not the one that sells a larger job.
